I have had one of these for years and it works great for chipping up to 50 feet from the green.

Makes the short chips pretty easy. Takes a bit of practice to get used to but a great tool on the course!

5 out of 5 stars superb club   October 27, 2009
Thomas R. Hamilton (Baton Rouge, LA)
Particular impossible to miss hit a shot with this club. Produces good loft and distance. What surprises me about this club is the distance I can hit the ball with accuracy. This club is everthing it is advertised to be and more.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Tool   May 5, 2010

Thes club is easy to use. I have been struggling with a LOB Wedge. After using the chpper, I no longer get frustrated with my short game. I am still new to the game and will continue to work on my LOB Wedge and chipping with an 8 iron.

5 out of 5 stars A TERRIFIC STROKE SAVER WORTH EVERY PENNY!   June 21, 2010
Penny (Plano, Texas)
First of all, as some others have noted, this club requires an hour or so of practice to learn its possibilities. For me, a couple of dozen balls dropped in varying distances from the rough around the range green convinced me it's best used like a putter from around two or three feet off the green's edge.

The forward loft(assuming a firm putting stroke) ranges from two to three feet; you'll soon learn how much roll the ball usually has after it lands to get to the hole and adjust accordingly. This is not to say a ball won't fly farther, but you'll have to use a longer backswing (as if you were hitting a wedge) and therefore require more practice.

I plan on using it especially for those times when the pin is within 20 feet of the ball's lie and the area surrounding the green is too thick or undulating to use a putter to get the ball to the hole with a putter. Owning this club is one of the best albeit modest investments I ever made in score-improvement clubs!
